Meet Chris
Chris - Behaviour Support Lead (Growth + Development)
Chris has lived on the Sunshine Coast since 2018, following a decade-long career working with children and teenagers in a community context. He holds a degree and postgraduate studies in Coaching, Mentoring, Leadership, and Conflict Resolution, and is currently completing a Master of Counselling, specialising in Children, Youth, and Trauma (with a particular interest in Neurodivergence).
Chris values a person-centred, trauma-informed, and collaborative approach. He is driven by connection, curiosity, and helping people grow through their challenges. Previously, he worked with Youturn as a Team Leader in Family Support, where he led a pilot program funded by Child Safety. This program supported families with children aged 10–14 at risk of entering the Child Safety and Youth Justice system. He attributes this time—working alongside families during incredibly tough times—as influential in understanding the difficulties that arise when multiple complex challenges exist within a family unit.
When not working, Chris is with his wife and four kids (who also have their own neuro-diverse needs), looking after fish tanks, diving into renovation chaos, or getting messy with the latest creative project.
Meet Mia
I’m one of Evercare Support’s Care Coordinators.
I bring an extensive background in early childhood education and complex disability support services.
I’m passionate about community collaboration, mental health advocacy and inclusion, and trauma-informed recovery practices.
With lived experience of disability and mental health challenges within my own family, I’m deeply committed to understanding the unique needs of each individual. I work hard to ensure everyone I support feels heard, understood, and genuinely valued.
Outside of work, I enjoy hiking, gardening, painting, and camping with my family.
