Positive Behaviour Support
Supporting positive change, understanding, and wellbeing at every step.
Supporting positive change through understanding and collaboration.
At Evercare Support, we believe that every behaviour is a form of communication. When life feels overwhelming due to challenging behaviours, it often stems from unmet needs or barriers to communication.
Our Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) service is designed to move beyond managing symptoms. We focus on understanding the ‘why’ behind the behaviour, helping individuals and their support networks develop practical, evidence-based strategies that improve quality of life and foster independence.
Our Collaborative, Person-Centred Approach
At Evercare Support, our approach to behaviour support is centred on a team-based, collaborative framework, and we adopt a model of a Lead Practitioner to guide service delivery.
We partner with your entire circle of support—families, schools, and health professionals—to ensure every unique experience is valued and everyone is working together toward the same positive outcomes.
Our approach ensures that while you always have a dedicated, personal relationship with a primary clinician, your care is continuously powered, governed, and enriched by our entire clinical team working collaboratively in the background.
Our collaborative approach respects the life-course events of each individual, allowing multiple practitioners to pool their expertise when adapting strategies for major life transitions or changing environments.
Our approach ensures that you receive the personalised, consistent attention of a Lead Practitioner, combined with the collective clinical expertise, innovation, and oversight of our entire practitioner team.
How we can help:
- Comprehensive Assessments: Identifying triggers and the root causes of behaviours of concern.
- Personalised Support Plans: Developing personalised Positive Behaviour Support Plans (PBSPs) that focus on skill-building rather than restriction.
- Skill Development: Teaching new ways to communicate, regulate emotions and interact socially.
- Strategies: Strategies for those supporting you on how to best support you and avoid behaviours of concern.
- Hands-on Training: Empowering families and support teams with the confidence and tools to create a calmer, safer environment.
- Guidance: Guidance on how to reduce and eliminate restrictive practices safely and respectfully.
- Ongoing Reviews: Ongoing reviews and adjustments as the strategies within the plan are implemented or your needs change.
